How to use a Maeita
Maeita is used to smooth and flat the front surface of the obi. Here we show the way you use the maeita in the style of Taiko-musubi.
If you are tying an obi in the basic style, Cho-musubi, which we introduce in "How to tie an obi" pages, please simply put the maeita inside the same part as shown below after you have tied the obi.
1. After you wrap the obi around the waist one and a half time. Put the maeita inside the front of the obi (the second round part of the obi).
